UPDATE ON CORONAVIRUS – COVID 19

At ICare, the safety and well-being of our employees and our customers is always our priority, and we recognise the important role we play in providing day-to-day care to our client

We are actively monitoring the COVID-19 Coronavirus situation and taking steps to help keep both our clients and carers safe.

We wanted to share with you some steps we are taking. As yet, we have no cases reported at ICare Resource Limited.

ALIGNING WITH PUBLIC HEALTH AUTHORITIES

We have a team dedicated to our response to this pandemic and have Business Continuity Plans to ensure the continuation of services. We are closely monitoring updates from the Centre for Disease Control and the World Health Organisation regarding COVID-19. We will continue to seek guidance from these agencies, public health officials and government agencies on an on-going basis.

PROTECTING OUR EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMERS

As our employees have interaction face-to-face with Clients and the general public as they travel around. We are more exposed and at risk to the virus.

Unfortunately, we cannot work from home, as we have to deliver care to our clients on a day-to-day basis. We are in continuous communication with our employees to remind them about the importance of good hygiene, and to provide them with health education and support whenever needed.

Our Carers are also provided with PPE (Apron, Gloves, Shoe covers, hand sanitisers and bacterial wipes. Which has always been a normal practice and a requirement of the CQC good practice guide and infection control.

We have specific quarantine and communication procedures in place should an employee be diagnosed with COVID-19 or be asked to self-isolate by a public health authority, and to provide comprehensive benefits to support them. We have a set protocol that has been issued to all employees.

WHAT WE ASK OF YOU

We are taking every precaution to ensure the safety and health of our Clients and Carers, but we need your help. If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms and have a scheduled rota, please let our Registered Manager Ramou Grant know immediately so that we can discuss options with you to ensure your well-being and that of your clients.

We are also asking our clients to let us know if they feel unwell so we can support them. Additionally, we have a support help line available to help you on 07472 888 155.

PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES FOR CARERS, CLIENTS AND OUR ENTIRE COMMUNITIES.

There is no cure for Coronavirus at this present moment.

However, it is thought that the following might help reduce your risk.

The most important thing you can do to prevent cross contamination is to wash your hands. This should be done using the technique below:
